Jim Hughes, DVM
Dr. Hughes is a graduate of the University of Florida and has practiced Veterinary medicine in the Tampa Bay Area for over 30 years. The first veterinarian to perform a feline kidney transplant in the United States, also he was the main surgeon for the Tampa Bay Greyhound and Derby Lane Greyhound track in the 70's. Dr Hughes established one of the first Greyhound Rescue clubs in the US. "Dr. Jim" is an accomplished orthopedic and oncology surgeon, who has developed several surgical techniques and treatments that are used with his cruciate knee surgeries as well as hip replacement, spinal surgery, and traumatic reconstructive surgeries.With stem cell therapy, acupuncture, cold laser therapy, Dr. Jim and the Vetria staff are practicing efficient, profound veterinary care for your furry family members.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable about supplements, flea, tick, and heart-worm prevention, diets, and overall pet heath.
