Pre-Op

Before any surgical procedure, you and your pet will come for a pre-op exam.
During this time we will draw the necesary blood work or test needed to determine your pet is healthy for surgery.
Our Veterinarian will discuss general anesthesia, length of surgery and go over any questions you may have before the procedure is performed.

Preparing for Surgery

As we prepare your pet for surgery, a catheter will be placed to administer general anesthesia, fluids, or medications needed during the procedure.
Your pet is then placed on monitors where we watch the heart rate, resperations, blood pressure, and oxygen levels during the surgery.
The technicians will clean, shave the hair around the surgical site, wash and sterilize the area.
